Hans Klein Hofmeijer (born 8 August 1957 in Tilburg) is a Dutch visual artist, painter and draughtsman. He took evening courses in fine-art painting and monumental design at the Academie voor Beeldende Kunsten St. Joost in Breda and graduated cum laude in 1979.
Klein Hofmeijer deliberately chooses a withdrawn practice, detached from fixed galleries or an international career. His drawings and paintings are neither figurative nor abstract: they evoke recognition without your being able to say exactly of what, and reveal an inner world drawn from experience rather than observation.
