Kenne Grégoire (Jean Josquin, born 13 December 1951 in Teteringen) studied from 1967 to 1973 at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam and won the silver Prix de Rome in 1973.
Grégoire paints in a realistic style using a seventeenth-century technique: a grisaille over which he glazes colours. His work encompasses a great diversity of subjects, from theatrically dressed figures to landscapes and still lifes, often with alienating, surprising elements. His portrait of King Willem-Alexander is well known.
