Victor Linford

Victor Linford (London, 21 May 1940 - 2002) was a British artist who moved to the Netherlands. He studied at the Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts in London, where he graduated in 1960 with painting as his main subject.
After a divorce he moved to Nijmegen in 1972; there his 'Nijmegen' period began with landscapes that grew into detailed, colourful fantasies. In the 1970s Linford belonged to the Dutch Meta-realists, together with Johfra Bosschart among others, and his work graced a series of Dutch science-fiction paperbacks.
